This guy was down to his last minutes when some wonderful volunteers made a miracle happen for him! Now Roscoe is in a foster home and taking advantage of his new chance at life. Roscoe is a middle aged dog, around five years old, and weighs a bit over 60lbs. He came to ATAP with a neurological condition that has left him paralyzed in the right side of his face. While we feared the worst at first, he saw a neurologist and they diagnosed him with cranial nerve damage from extended untreated ear infections. This was about the best news we could have asked for! His infection was treated and while it does not resolve his facial paralysis, it prevents further damage. As of right now, Roscoe's medical issues have been treated and are not an ongoing issue. We think Rosco's look is both unique and special, anyhow :-) . Roscoe is a very friendly boy who loves to just hang out with you. He enjoys playing fetch or playing with the frisbee and is super happy to have a good romp in the grass! He knows some basic commands and likes treats so he is easy to teach new things too! He loves a good but scratching and likes to snuggle! He enjoys being around people and would do best in a quieter home! He would do best in a home with older children and no other animals.
